Tip #1 – What is the Occasion?
The first tip I would like to share when planning an event or a party is to identify clearly the purpose of the event itself. Being it a corporate event, a birthday party, a simple get together, tea party, memorial events such as holy communion, baptism, confirmation or even celebrating one of the most prestigious events in our lives such as a wedding. The answer to “What is the Occasion?” will be a start of a beautiful journey in which a successful event is built upon.
“Why an event is built?” some people ask me! The way I like to explain this is by comparing building an event with putting together or building a jigsaw puzzle. Many individual pieces, that when looked at individually do not make sense or better do not give us a clear picture, however when placed and fit together one will realise that each and every piece plays an equally important role for the end result.
The same goes when building a successful event. Many different elements to consider, each equally important. Every choice, every effort, every detail, every piece will all lead to the outcome of a successful event. However, do not pressure yourself as building a successful event is fun and mostly rewarding.
